The App Store scraper for app market research

Kavex's App Store scraper turns any search term into a clean list of Apple App Store apps. App Store search is how millions of users discover software, and the ranking for a keyword is a live snapshot of the competitive landscape in a category. You give a search term and a country, and Kavex returns every matching app with its name, developer, category, star rating, review count, price and store link. It is built for product teams sizing a market, ASO specialists tracking keyword rankings, and anyone who needs the app landscape for a niche in a spreadsheet instead of scrolling the store by hand.

What it does

Provide one or more search terms (for example project management or photo editor), one per line, and a country store to search. For each term Kavex reads the App Store search results and returns each app's name, developer, primary category, average rating, total review count, price, app ID and the App Store URL.

Use cases

  • App market research — see every competitor ranking for a keyword
  • ASO keyword tracking — monitor where apps sit for a search term over time
  • Building a list of apps in a niche for partnership or competitive analysis
  • Sizing a category before building or pricing a new app

Sample output

Each row is one app: app_name, developer, category, rating, review_count, price, app_id, app_url, icon_url. Export the full set to CSV or pull it through the Kavex API.

How it works

Enter your search terms on the configure page, pick the country store and how many results per term you want, and run. Kavex reads the App Store results for each term. Pair it with the App Store Reviews scraper to go from a keyword straight into customer feedback for the top apps.

Frequently asked questions

Which country store does it search?

You choose — App Store rankings differ by country, so set the country that matches the market you are researching. The default is the US store.

How many apps does it return per search?

You set a results-per-search limit on the configure page; Kavex returns the top-ranking apps for each term up to that limit.

How fresh is the data?

Every scrape is live — you get the App Store search results exactly as they rank at run time, not a cached database.

Can I feed the results into the reviews scraper?

Yes — the app_id column maps straight into the App Store Reviews scraper to pull customer reviews for any app you found.
